Corey B. Rubenstein is a member (partner) of Stetler & Duffy,
Ltd. and is one of the firm’s original lawyers. He previously
practiced in the Trial Group of McDermott, Will & Emery.
Mr. Rubenstein’s practice is focused on the investigation,
defense at trial, and appeal of white collar criminal matters,

He represents corporations in defending against criminal
allegations as well as in conducting internal investigations of
suspected wrongdoing. He also represents individuals who are the

public officials. Mr. Rubenstein’s litigation practice also
focuses on complex commercial civil cases and administrative
matters.
His notable cases include the defense at trial and successful
appeal of the Chicago City Treasurer, Miriam Santos; the
dismissal before trial of a criminal OSHA violation against the
nation’s largest power line construction firm; and an internal
investigation for the City of Minneapolis. He has argued
numerous cases before the Court of Appeals for the Seventh
Circuit.
Mr. Rubenstein graduated cum laude from Harvard Law
School in 1995. He received his undergraduate degree with
highest distinction from the University of Michigan in 1992,
where he was Phi Beta Kappa. He is a member of the bar of
the State of Illinois, the general and trial bars of the United
States District Court for Northern District of Illinois, and the
bar of the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and he has been
admitted pro hac vice to the bars of many other courts
across the country.
